Wow! 2023 disappeared in a flash! Lots of successful projects with many highlights:
- a new partnership with RAC WA to codesign and lead the RAC Ignite Leadership program saw our Youth Board take on roles as workshop designers and cofacilitators in the inaugural program for 18 – 24 year olds.

We strengthened our collaboration with Friends of Lake Claremont on our Green Lab project through a Department of Communities Youth Engagement Grant and Cat, CEO, Millennium Kids presented a key paper at the Treenet Symposium in Adelaide titled Millennium Kids: Youth Leading Change.
- a Bollywood Dance Fundraiser with Western Australian Multicultural Lions Club raised over $7,000 supporting youth empowerment projects such as:
- Youth Board member, Aelwen, went to Washington DC to present her Green Lab story
- Youth Board member, Amelia ,went to COP 28 to represent youth voice and engagement on the world stage at the climate event
- We gave out grants to support youth and school projects led by young people with Perth College students designing and creating a new green space to increase canopy and reduce the impacts of the urban heat island effect
– And our Agents of Climate Change program went from strength to strength with programs in City of Canning community and high schools. With funds from the Western Australian Multicultural Lions Club we were able to action youth led ideas to make them real. We look forward to working with Lynwood SHS and QASWA in City of Canning in 2024.
In 2024 we have new partnerships and more excitement and will be continuing our work to promote our values.
