Chairperson’s Report
Well, in 2019 I started my report by saying “What a year it has been”. Who knew that there were much more testing times ahead of us.
I would like to thank every Youth Board member, student, parent, teacher, Council member, mentor and MK family member for the huge effort it has taken to shift gears and adapt this year. Time and time again, MK has proven that it is nimble, responsive and resilient in its approach to achieving it mission and goals and I commend you all on the strength and effort you have each shown this year – you have lived our values through testing times and achieved more than I ever dared to dream in a year like 2020. You should all be immensely proud of your achievements.
To our sponsors and in-kind donors, thanks for sticking with us, we know you are doing it tough too and your support has meant so much to us this year. We are proud to have you in our circle and we hope to keep relationships strong for years to come.
I hope you will take the time to thoroughly read this Annual Report. The team have done an outstanding job covering the many achievements of the year – thankyou to everyone who went above and beyond to produce the report this year.
It has been my pleasure and privilege to be your MK Chairperson again this year. You have all shown me what true leadership looks like and I hope that I have, in turn, added value in gently guiding you towards the tremendous goals you set for yourselves, MK, the community and its global citizens.
