Millennium Kids Odyssey Program
Saturday, 22 November 2008 - Friday, 28 November 2008
It is time to have fun! Sea kayaking, snorkelling, animal tracking and monitoring as well as bushwalking the tracks and gorges in Walpole, Denmark and Albany. From the 22nd until the 28th of November young people, 16 years and over, have the opportunity to participate in the Millennium Kids Odyssey, which is a program designed to provide participants with valuable skills, which will enable them to run their own environmental or community based projects in the near future. As well as having lots of fun, all participants will attend to several workshops, including an introduction to Millennium Kids, Risk Management and Assessment, Green Team 10 Steps Methodology, Public Relations and Sponsorship, Effective Team Work and Indigenous knowledge and culture. Thanks to Alcoa, the cost of the program is only $200. Every participant is expected to gift 30 hours volunteer time to support Millennium Kids projects. This is a great way to put into practice what has been learnt during the program. Applications close at 5pm on Friday 7th of November 2008. In order to guarantee a place in the program, applications should be made soon given there are only 12 sponsored vacancies available. To receive an application pack please email: info@millenniumkids.com.au or call the Millennium Kids office on (08) 9364 1200
